    A wave-type analysis has been used to obtain the theoretical behavior of a free electron laser (FEL) or ubitron Some of the techniques previously utilized to analyze the gyrotron are used1,2. The expression for stimulated emission is obtained. Some comparison is made with other theoretical results.
