  • Abstract
    Present status of GaInAsP/InP dynamic-single - mode (DSM) lasers developed for lightwave communications is reviewed. A DSM laser is a class of semiconductor laser consisting typically of distributed reflectors with pure spectrum of output light under dynamic operation. The DSM lasers are also capable of low noise feature, hence suitable for high quality communication systems.
