Abstract :
We use Grobner bases of modules to construct and classify quasi-cyclic codes. Whereas previous studies have been mainly concerned with the 1-generator case, our results elucidate the structure of arbitrary quasi-cyclic codes and their duals. We include a complete characterisation of self-dual quasi-cyclic codes of index 2
