Abstract :
Using a generalised network representation of aperture problems in terms of the method of moments a theory of cavity backed slot array is developed. A 4 ¿¿ 4 element broadside slot array excited by rectangular cavity resonator was chosen as a numerical example and calculations for the antenna quality factor, power transmission coefficient and radiation patterns were made. The theory was found to be in good agreement with the experimental results.
