New ideas in imaging antennas

Some new concepts are presented which allow the design of arrays with a resolution better than or equal to the classical design but without any ambiguity in the latter case. The proposed new antennas the chirped interferometer and the space harmonic array operate in tight connection with the processing of the received signal; this combined action is responsible for the increased performance of the array.
