Abstract :
A new form of synchronous motor excitation is presented, which, by means of a simple connection through a diode rectifier bridge, gives, effectively, series excitation in the synchronous mode. The steady-state behaviour of the scheme is explained by means of a simple analysis and illustrated by test results.
