Abstract :
System test results obtained with large effective area NZ-DSF LEAFO fiber are reviewed and the impact of optimization of some parameters on the performance of long-haul DWDM systems is discussed. The performance of LEAF fiber in different system configurations is also presented. In all studied cases, the benefit of the large effective area of the fiber is confirmed by the measurements of reduced nonlinear fiber-induced penalty
