Abstract :
Advanced Differential Equation is a subject offered by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia involving many theories which require students to understand and visualize their concepts. Thus, understanding of each concept puts forward will take relatively long time. So, the objective of this project is to produce a learning video about Picard´s Method based on Advanced Differential Equation subject using Needham´s Five Phase Learning Theory. The video was developed using ADDIE Instructional Design model. A total of 13 respondents were involved in this study. They were asked to evaluate a video developed regarding the appropriateness of the Needham´s Five Phases Learning Theory, perception of effectiveness of using video for learning and their interest towards the video using the questionnaire instrument. Data were analyzed manually and presented in the form of frequency and percentage. Overall, the suitability of the learning theory Needham´s Five Phases is promising. Respondents´ perception of the effectiveness and interest towards the video are also better than intermediate level. It is hoped that this learning video can help students master the concepts and skills of mathematics better.
