Abstract :
This paper presents a deterioration diagnosis device for operating pole transformers using signal processing and wireless communication. The authors use dissipation factor to diagnose deterioration degree of pole transformer insulating oil. For measuring convenience, they use radio frequency data communication module using secondary voltage of pole transformer. They could obtain voltage and current waveforms. The dissipation factor was obtained by 1024 points cross correlation between voltage and current and by FFT (fast Fourier transform). They have used voltage variation test and oil temperature variation tests to prove usability of proposed diagnosis device. Therefore, they suggest a deterioration criterion of insulating oil to decide the deterioration degree of insulating oil in pole transformers. The result of this paper shows that the proposed device can be used as deterioration diagnosis device for pole transformers
