Abstract :
We propose a group location management scheme used for passenger dedicated lines, in which mobile users with same moving trend are combined as a group. In the scheme, each group is identified by a group ID Gi, and implements unified location management process though a group proxy deployed on the train. Thus in the network side, instead of modifying each user´s location information separately, the location update process can be achieved by modifying the location information of the group in corresponding entities. By implementing of this scheme, less spectrum resource will be used, and it is effective in preventing signaling channel congestion. Simulation results show that, compared with traditional scheme, when the number of group members exceeds a threshold, with the group member increasing, the overhead generated from location management reducing significantly. And reasonable network deployment will make network more efficient.
