Abstract :
In mobile communication systems, the reliable transmission of data in the radio interface must be ensured. This gives rise to the application of retransmission schemes. This paper presents an overview of the applications of retransmission schemes in several mobile communication systems and the possible solutions for the 3/sup rd/ generation mobile communication systems.
