In this paper, the knowledge potential of knowledge field has been studied in the way of vector field, the Laplace´s equation of knowledge potential has been built up, the establishment of mathematical model of knowledge potential has been explored, and the solution of mathematical model of knowledge potential is in the way of variables separation. It aimed at providing a way of quantitative analysis to the diffusion of knowledge, and it combined natural science with social science more effectively.
