Abstract
A mobile ad hoc network is a collection of set of mobile nodes capable of communication with each other without the assistance of any infrastructure. This paper presents a multi-path routing protocol that can efficiently provide QoS (Quality of Service) in mobile ad hoc network, which is, now days, the most important requirement for many real-time multimedia applications. The proposed on-demand routing protocol searches for a multi-path QoS routes from source node to the destination node, where QoS requirement is to search paths between source and destination node that can satisfy a certain bandwidth requirement. Through simulation, it has been shown that when the network bandwidth is limited, the proposed routing protocol offer a higher packet delivery ratio as compare to the single path routing protocol and when the network bandwidth is sufficient, the proposed routing protocol perform almost the same as the single path routing protocols.
