Abstract :
The purpose of the study was to determine the individual investor behavior and to develop the individual investor profile in terms of their risk profile, influence of demographic factors on investment behavior and nature of investment products of the investors in Karur district, Tamilnadu. The investment preferences, choice of investments and other factors influencing the investment decisions were also analyzed. The study was conducted with 150 sample respondents from Karur district. The findings of the study can form the basis for policy makers for new product development in the financial sector and provide guidelines to the Financial Service Institutions/Organizations for utilizing the Personal financial resources optimally.
