  • Abstract
    We propose a novel architecture for an optical cross-connect based on full duplex switches that support reciprocal traffic. The architecture is based on a Clos switch and is proven to be non-blocking. The number of basic devices needed for it is about half the number needed in a conventional one-way architecture.
