Abstract
Transmission control of dispersion-managed solitons by means of in-line synchronous intensity modulators and no filtering is analyzed. The feasibility of a 40 Gbit/s dispersion-managed transmission over 20 Mm regenerated only intensity modulation is demonstrated.
