Abstract :
An intelligent cost effective surveillance robot which can be controlled from anywhere in the world through internet and also through Wi-Fi (Local Area Network), both types of connections is provided with the ease of use for the user. In this paper the robot on board consists of a Camera for live streaming, a GPS module to get the position of the robot and also to send the robot to a particular position, it also consists of many sensors for the environment monitoring purposes. The robot also supports voice commands for the ease of use for the user. Even if the user doesn´t have any knowledge about computers, the user can just give the voice commands for various operations of the robot. The voice commands can be given not only through a PC, it can also be given through a handheld mobile tablet or PC Various commands can be given to the robot like take a snapshot of at a particular location, move to a particular location and etc. If the robot is connected through internet all the data logged from all the sensors and the images will be stored in a cloud. Registered user can login to the cloud with all the data logged by the robot at a particular date. Even if the robot is destroyed at the remote site the robot would have already sent the data to the user which will be stored in the cloud.
