  • Abstract
    Full-bridge inverter is an important part of DC-DC converter where the output voltage is controlled. The other important part of DC-DC converter is high frequency transformer. The disadvantage of the converter that use conventional method is low output power efficiency because it still use hard switching method. Because of that, research about DC-DC converter especially in the full-bridge inverter with softswitching method by using phase-shifted pulse width modulation (PSPWM) to get zero voltage switching. By using that method, the power losses can be decreased. Improving the high frequency transformer should be done in order to increase power efficiency. Choosing the proper type and size of its components and good design of converter will improve power efficiency of high frequency transformer. In this study, converter on the resistive load applied in the form of lamps. The results showed that the efficiency of designed converter in the transformer side achieves more than 92% Moreover, high-frequency transformer can be used to eliminate low-frequency transformer in order to achieve an efficient, small size, and light converter.
