Abstract
The increasing share of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation in distribution systems urges the distribution system operators (DSO) to train their employees for secure system operation. This paper presents a simplified dynamic model of an aggregated solar PV plant which is suitable for the implementation into a real-time training simulator of the DSO. The reactive power response of the proposed model during a long-term voltage stability analysis is investigated while different voltage control strategies (VCS), reactive power limitation methods and P-Q priorities are considered. The data requirements and computation time for the simulation of the model have been minimized based on some simplifications.
