Abstract
In this paper, the authors analyze the low frequency conducted electromagnetic disturbances affecting ASDs and discuss the performance testing procedure for the supplied induction motor characterization under static working conditions, proposing a suitable measurement station. It is based on standard instruments for ASD static tests and performance analysis and it is compatible with the use of real-time instruments so that it will be possible to carry out dynamic tests. The paper concludes with an evaluation of the proposed instrument and procedure by means of experimental activity carried out on a common induction motor. Some of the preliminary results obtained on a low power device are presented.
