Abstract

The next generation network would be the converged and ubiquitous network. And it could be used anywhere, anytime by anyone. We usually call the network as NGN but in Korea, it called as BcN (broadband convergence network). The BcN would be the core infrastructure for next generation converged network in Korea. For that, the most important thing is security. Without security, it would be useless. So, in this paper, we suggest how the BcN security should be prepared and what kind of security technologies should be developed for BcN safety. Especially, we discuss the security technologies for BcN infrastructure in 2 aspects. They are for network availability for the protection of BcN infrastructure and integrity and confidentiality of network services in BcN infrastructure
