Abstract :
Current socket design methods do not take into account the potential shape changes of the residual limb, as there are no mathematical models for characterizing the shape. Here the authors introduce feature extraction techniques for shape quantification of the residual limb. Preliminary results are presented. The authors would like to apply this method for longitudinal study of the residual limb atrophy
