Abstract
An analysis of electric vehicles (EVs) dc-quick-chargers (DCQC) is discussed in this paper. This analysis contains a concept for application of a test bed for (DCQC). The second part of this paper shows security aspects of the DCQC. These are evaluated and exemplary measurements regarding safe usage of a DCQC are presented, including aspects of various facets, such as safety, insulation and short circuit behaviour. Details of the DCQCs charging process, regarding the power quality in both dc-link and ac gird connection are illustrated. Assessments of the efficiency at different power states as well as assessments of harmonics (up to) high frequency behaviour in both voltage and current are also included.
