Abstract :
This paper presents a simple technique to code shape information without explicitly coding the entire alpha plane. The proposed technique includes shape information in the input video by using chroma keying. The decoder recovers shape information via thresholding. This paper also describes how to compute the optimal threshold to reduce coding error.
