Abstract :
This paper presents a new technique capable of investigating anisotropy in high temperature superconducting rods using two closely-spaced modes in a co-axial copper cavity at frequencies around 20 GHz. The two-mode method of anisotropy evaluation is shown to be simple and reliable. So far, R/sub sa//R/sub sc/ ratios as low as 0.5 have been achieved by zone annealing. Frequency dependence can also be measured by sweeping additional modes.<>
