Abstract :
Mineral resources generate great economic and social benefits in the process of development and utilization, but also cause damage to the environment, external cost of environment, the depletion of resources and loss of ecological value. The contingent valuation method (CVM) is one of the most commonly used and effective tools to value non-market resources. Reasonable application of CVM to the evaluate ecological environmental value in the process of mineral resources development is in order to comprehensively assess and make up quantization assessment. Based on the literature and relevant case combing with these aspects, this paper studies constitutes of the value of the eco-environment in the process of mineral resources development, does research on calculation WTA and WTP using CVM to evaluate value, puts forward several suggestions to improve CVM according to limitations, which is important to coordinated and sustainable development of economy and society.
