Abstract :
This paper presents a hybrid model of switch mode converter for AC to DC voltage conversion. It is a combination of boost and buck-boost converter. A closed loop voltage mode analog controller is implemented using K factor method. The proposed hybrid model overcomes the limitation of higher peak input AC voltage and provides a regulated output voltage. A hardware experimental setup (Input 1 to 5 V rms, 100Hz, Output 12V, Power 30mW) is designed. Simulation and experimental results are demonstrated to verify the working principle.
