Abstract :
Inverter fed induction motors are the essential part in many industrial applications, due to its variable speed. In industry, proper and reliable operation of equipment is the key factor for smooth operation of the plant and staying within the technical constraints. So online monitoring of induction motor drive system with the help of fault detection algorithm is critical to detect any fault, in an early stage and prevent further deterioration of the fault and reduce the economic losses thereof. The aim of this paper is to design a fuzzy logic fault detection algorithm for detecting and analyzing the switching faults in an induction motor drive system.
