Abstract :
A three-dimensional (3-D) frequency domain large signal code called SBTWT3D for illustrating the beam-wave interaction in the sheet beam traveling-wave tube (SBTWT) is presented. A 3-D nonlinear beam-wave interaction analysis for a W band SBTWT is performed and the calculation results are compared with those obtained from time-domain 3-D particle-in-cell simulations.
