  • Abstract
    The paper designs the structural parameters of 340GHz folded waveguide traveling wave tube (FW-TWT) according to the dispersion relation and interaction impedance. To valid the primary design, the cold-circuit properties were also calculated by electromagnetic software (CST MWS) simulation. The results show that the interaction impedance is 1.95ohm at 340GHz. The CST particle-in-cell solver was applied to calculate the output power. The results show it can obtain the gain of 27.78dB at 12kV.
