Abstract :
This paper analyses the failure phenomena of output window of high average power klystron briefly. According to the performance features of beryllia and alumina, we made the corresponding output windows and applied into certain type of S-band 50kW high average power klystron. It is proved that the beryllia output window is superior than alumina output window after the comparison of test data attained after klystron is actually made.
