Abstract
This paper presents field trials carried out with a low data rate location tracking ultra wide band impulse radio testbed developed within the project PULSERS. Ranging measurements have been conducted -as a reference- in an anechoic chamber, then in line of sight office environments and non-line of sight intra room propagation conditions. Results show ranging performance better than 50 cm in the 1- sigma point with un-encoded and raw data. Filtering can be applied to improve further performance leading to a very accurate short-range distance measurement system.
