Abstract :
The cylindrical corrugated-wall metal waveguide with an axial magnetized degenerate plasma rod is proposed for sub-millimeter and terahertz vacuum device. The dispersion characteristics of symmetric electromagnetic TM-modes in the device is analyzed. The investigation results show that the corrugated-wall waveguide with an axial magnetized degenerate plasma rod would be a promising slow-wave structure for high power millimeter wave and terahertz wave radiation.
