Abstract :
Two beams are introduced into the folded waveguide (FW) slow wave structure. The transmission modes in the longitudinal and transverse two-beam FW were compared. The dispersion of longitudinal and transverse two-beam FW was calculated by CST Microwave Studio (MWS). The results of simulation show that the transverse two-beam FW has wider bandwidth than the longitudinal two-beam FW. The S parameter was also calculated by CST MWS with lossy metal being considered. Results show that the transmission characteristics are better when the radius of the beam hole of the two beam FW is smaller.
