Abstract :
A new design of the radiating element that made it possible to produce AESA with the mass of the emitting sheet is not more than 14 Kg. The designed RE is a compact, universal structure that has the characteristics of the radiation with a gain of more than 11 dB and the axial ratio of at least 0.7 in the frequency band from 1.1 to 1.7 GHz. The dimensions of the L-band AESA radiating element do not exceed the length of the wave. The measurements of the AESA element radiating accurately coincide with the calculations made with a method of the topological synthesis-based upon numerical methods.
