Abstract :
We have proposed service discovery scheme using mobile agents for mobile ad hoc networks where the network topology frequently changes. In the mobile agent-based service discovery scheme, mobile agents autonomously migrate between nodes in the network, and then mobile agents disseminate and collect service information. In this paper, we configure the network environment where nodes enter and exit in a vehicular ad hoc network, which is one of mobile ad hoc networks. In addition, we evaluate the mobile agent-based service discovery scheme through simulation experiments and show the effectiveness of the scheme in comparison with epidemic routing.
