Abstract :
An experimental study of the generation of broadband noise-like oscillations in the collector of a traveling wave tube (TWT) have been considered. The analysis of experimental results shows that injected into in the collector region of TWT multispeed electron beam is source of broadband noiselike oscillations. It is established that the maximum cumulative capacity, removable from the collector region of TWT is 12 W, the maximum frequency of generation is 7 GHz, the maximum bandwidth Δf /f ~ 0.8. It is shown that the traveling-wave tube with a collector-generator can operate both an as amplifier and an external signal generator.
