Abstract :
In this paper we apply a novel algorithm to control and optimize the number of non-critical calls in a video-intensive mobile environment supporting critical applications. The algorithm is based on graceful QoS reduction policy. We simulate a video-intensive scenario and determine the optimal bandwidth allocation required for maximizing the number of non-critical calls
