Abstract :
In modern medical treatment it is very important to obtain the desired ultrasound field in the tissue. Acoustic waves can be used in medical treatment of different kinds of tumours. The design of ultrasound fields is closely related to the desired beampattern in the tissue. The essence of focusing of ultrasound waves is the alignment of pressure fields from all parts of aperture in order for them to arrive to the focus at the same time. In this article the pressure field in fixed focus was considered for different number of elements in the array of rectangular transducers. The simulations of ultrasound field were made in Field II Matlab Toolbox.
