Abstract :
A new light sensor principle suited well for incorporation in all kinds of MOS circuits is presented. It converts illumination intensity into the frequency of a digital output signal. As an example data of a p-MOS implementation are given: e.g. dynamic range greater six decades (approx. 0,2 to ≫ 2.105 1x); linearity: five decades (approx. 2 to 2.105 1x).
