Abstract :
An extension to a short range propagation model is described which enables the model to predict the site attenuation between two antennas on flat ground for either horizontal or vertical polarisation. Experimental work is outlined and examples of measured data presented to support the validity of this model. A further extension based on the geometrical theory of diffraction (GTD) is described for the purpose of including scattering effects from buildings. Two trials involving a single building are discussed and typical examples comparing predicted and measured data values are given
