Abstract :
In the paper downlink beamforming for cellular radio systems with frequency division duplexing (FDD) is investigated. System level simulations clarify what gain can be achieved by applying circular arrays with omnidirectional antenna elements in contrast to linear arrays with sectorizing antenna elements
