Abstract :
An interconnected power system containing synchronous and induction machines has been simulated. The behaviour of each machine has been studied under single line-to-ground faults (SLGF) for a transient time of 500 ms. The effect of induction motor connection (grounded wye or ungrounded wye) has been presented and its effect on the motor current, speed, torque and total fault current has been illustrated
