Abstract
The present paper proposes an alternative solution allowing for better targets detection in conditions of randomly arriving impulse interference with Poisson distributed flow and Raleigh amplitude distribution. These are the heaviest possible conditions for target detection. The usage of antennas with beam synthesizing has been considered. In the paper has been analyzed a case of detecting two close targets in presence of intensive pulse jamming. To improve the detection process an original structure of conventional Hough target detector keeping constant false alarm rates has been developed. The expressions of detection and false alarm probabilities are derived for a highly fluctuating Swerling II target. The research work is performed in MATLAB computational environment. The achieved results can be successfully applied for radar target detection and in the existing communication network receivers making use of pulse signals.
