Abstract :
The tremendous increase of motor vehicles causes serious traffic congestion at the same time, also causes serious pollution to the environment. Using two associated intersections as the research object, considering environmental factors, with the targets of minimizing motor vehicle carbon monoxide emissions and maximizing the total number of people passing the intersection regions, a artery coordination control model for bus priority is proposed to optimize the associated intersections signal timing. The particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to solve the model. The simulation results show that the model and algorithm in the guarantee of bus priority at the same time, to a certain extent, reduce the exhaust emissions of associated regions.
