  • Abstract
    Extension expert system is a new kind of expert system, which is formed after the introduction of Extenics. It provides new methods for knowledge representation, matching and reasoning of expert system. First the theoretical framework of Extenics is introduced including the base-element theory, extension set theory and extension logic; Then the extension expert systems is analyzed, including extension knowledge representation based on base-element theory, extension knowledge reasoning based on extension logic and extension knowledge matching based on extension set theory; Finally, take a certain power supply combination of avionics as an example, using extension expert system to do fault diagnosis for it, not only the extension knowledge representation is described and the extension knowledge reasoning is achieved, but also the extension knowledge matching is verified. The results show that the diagnosis is correct and reliable.
