  • Abstract
A good mathematical model is the foundation to apply control theory into complex biological networks and proceed efficient algorithms to research on its spatial structure and function. A mathematical formulation of the protein tertiary structure is proposed in this paper. The goal is to mathematically model the three-dimensional spatial conformation of the peptide chain and its allosteric phenomenon. Matrix theory and Dynamics are employed to represent key concepts related to spatial model. It is hoped that this work could lay a mathematical foundation for introducing system and control theories into molecular biology.
