Abstract :
We consider a maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) method when the available samples are taken from a fuzzy population. Based on the embedding theorem for fuzzy data, a general convex compact fuzzy data can be viewed as a random element in square integrable functional space, we employ multivariate distribution functions of random vectors to develop a MLE method for fuzzy data. Some useful properties of MLE are obtained for trapezoidal fuzzy data.
