Abstract
Seafloor surveys can be spoiled by misconfigured payload sensors, operator error, and other events that prevent survey data from being successfully acquired. Operators are limited in their ability to perform quality assurance mid-mission by the amount of information available in real-time from underwater vehicles. Witness provides an end-to-end solution for monitoring payload data quality, allowing vehicle operators to view clips of payload imagery from a single subsea vehicle while underway.
