Abstract
We present a rigorous analysis of an array of horns loaded with a multilayer polarizing screen. The analysis includes the interaction of the waveguide modes with several Floquet modes supported by the infinite array of horns and the meander line screen. The periodicities of the horn array and the meander line array generally differ from each other, therefore the conventional generalized scattering matrix (GSM) approach cannot be applied directly. In order to apply the GSM approach, a modal mapping relation between the two sets of Floquet modes (Floquet modes associated with the horn array and Floquet modes associated with the meander line array) is necessary.
